SAN ANTONIO (AP) The Golden State Warriors have lost 24 consecutive times in San Antonio, but they've never seen anything here like this.
Ditto for Spurs coach Gregg Popovich.
Scoring the most points in a game in nearly 20 years, the Spurs throttled the Golden State Warriors 147-116 on Friday night in the most points scored under Popovich since he took over in 1996.

When Kris and Maurice Joseph were kids, basketball was such an obscure sporting concept that locating a court on which to play could sometimes be as challenging as the games themselves.
Hockey, of course, is the pervasive sports persuasion north of the border.
A Canadian sportscaster here estimated that 90 percent of the population consumes hockey as avid, involved spectators.

James became the youngest player to score 15,000 career points, breaking Kobe Bryant's mark by more than two years, and the Cavaliers pulled away to beat the Bulls 92-85 for their 12th win in 13 games.
Breaking that record, James said, was "very humbling" and the result of all the time he spends honing his game.
"I was born with a God-given gift," he said.
