SAN ANTONIO (AP) The Golden State Warriors have lost 24 consecutive times in San Antonio, but they've never seen anything here like this. Ditto for Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. Scoring the most points in a game in nearly 20 years, the Spurs throttled the Golden State Warriors 147-116 on Friday night in the most points scored under Popovich since he took over in 1996.

LeBron James became the youngest player to score 15,000 career points, breaking Kobe Bryant's mark by about two years, as the Cleveland Cavaliers pulled away late to beat Chicago Bulls 92-85 on Friday for their 12th win in 13 games. James scored 13 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter, giving him 15,026 in his career, and had 11 rebounds. He scored seven straight late in the game as Cleveland increased its lead to 10, sending the Bulls to their 10th straight loss.  

When Kris and Maurice Joseph were kids, basketball was such an obscure sporting concept that locating a court on which to play could sometimes be as challenging as the games themselves. Hockey, of course, is the pervasive sports persuasion north of the border. A Canadian sportscaster here estimated that 90 percent of the population consumes hockey as avid, involved spectators.

With only 13 games left in the regular season, the Utah Jazz return home to take on the New Orleans Hornets in the EnergySolutions Arena. Any lead the Jazz had in the battle for the fourth seed and home-court advantage in the playoffs has dwindled to only a one game advantage.  

The chief executives from all four of Arizona's major professional sports teams met in downtown Phoenix on Friday to discuss the economic situations of their respective franchises, and although each agreed times have been tough, they also see brighter days ahead. That especially was true when the participants – Suns President Rick Welts, Diamondbacks President Derrick Hall, Cardinals General Manager Rod Graves and Coyotes President Doug Moss – were asked about possible upcoming lockouts or work stoppages

Australian centre Andrew Bogut has racked up yet another double-double for Milwaukee as the Bucks claimed a double-overtime 114-108 victory against Sacramento. Bogut, who was recently named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week, produced his 35th double-double for the season as he played a crucial role in the victory with 21 points and an equal team-high 11 rebounds. The former No.1 draft pick also executed two steals and an equal game-high two blocks.
