The Phoenix Coyotes are having a stellar year on the ice, but the hockey franchise can't shake its financial troubles. The Coyotes could be worth far less than the $160 million sales price the National Hockey League has pitched to Ice Edge Holdings . In the meantime, the Canadian group has run into obstacles financing its purchase of the team, which has been in Chapter 11 reorganization, according to several sources familiar with the sale and bankruptcy.

Alando Tucker did not want to leave the Suns teammates and franchise he liked so much even without much opportunity in Phoenix to establish himself as a player. But when the Dec. 29 trade to Minnesota was presented to him as a chance to play, he embraced the idea. The Suns assumed he would play more.

They were happy for me because when I got traded, they thought it'd be a good opportunity for me to go to a young team and get playing time.   -Alando Tucker

With approximately 15 games left in the regular season, the NBA's playoff teams are all but determined already. The top teams in the NBA are left to jockey for playoff positioning, trying to avoid dates with Kobe or LeBron until their respective conference finals. The teams in the NBA cellar will start tanking (or "evaluating young talent," as they say), in hopes of earning themselves a few more lottery balls for the NBA Draft.

The NBA regular season is already getting down into its final few weeks, meaning some teams are prepping for the playoffs while others eagerly anticipate the upcoming lottery. Cleveland, the league's only 50-win team so far, has already clinched a playoff spot, and appear to have the number one overall seed in the East locked up for the second consecutive year. The Nets, on the other hand, are on the verge of losing their 60th game of the season.

The Jazz have played quite well since the All-Star break. Going into Monday's game with Washington, Utah had put together a 10-5 record since Feb. 16. That included going an impressive 7-4 on the road despite battling through injuries and dealing with the trade of Ronnie Brewer.
